Just to contrast the new of Benozzo Gozzoli museum interiors, there is most famous work by the artist for the private chapel of Cosimo de’ Medici.

The chapel in Medicis’ residence in Florence was built by architect Michelozzo di Bartolomeo between 1446 and 1449. Cosimo de’ Medici selected Benozzo Gozzoli to paint the frescoes. Benozzo Gozzoli started the work on the frescoes in 1459 and allegedly completed the work with one assistant in a span of several moths, which is incredible considering the scope of the project. The subject of the frescoes is The Procession of the Magi, divided thematically into Procession of the Young King (east wall), Middle King (south wall), Old King (west wall). The work is truly monumental. I just want to present here the portraits of the three kings.
