I was keeping an eye on this post and the sad, repulsive comments. In fact I am fascinated by the freak show of blogs that write about a single question for years. Here is the man who published every single post on the same subject. His infrequent forays into the general culture only underscore the main narrow theme, they sound childish, naïve, primitive and un-evolved. All signs of the decrepit, autistic culture from which the one-dimensional thinking has sprung. There is one word that you will never find – courage. This virtue doesn’t exist. On the other hand the duplicity is the eleventh commandment. The insistence on laying a claim to everything without taking a stand on anything. The anonymity in politics, cultures, religions. In its totality it’s a pathetic to the extreme rot. And the comments there illustrate this point abundantly well. The dominating confusion is between moving from Queens to Brooklyn and the life long struggle requiring decades of detox.
There is also the chronic avoidance of the fact that the dilemmas are moral, not philosophical. There are buyers and sellers in the realm of ideas too. Transaction in lies is a moral question. Too bad most of you people never lived under Communism to borrow some poignant metaphors. This is not about adaptive duplicity, this is about the moral choice of passing the dysfunction and lies to the gullible children and the grownup children. This is a moral question requiring courage not a class assignment in logic.
