I am keeping an eye on the Chile Miners Rescue. 02.25: “Meanwhile, the mother of Daniel Herrera, who is at number 16 on the rescue schedule, says that she is looking forward to kissing her son and will thank God when he gets out. She says she will cook him his favourite food, including empanadas, on his first night back at home and that he would not be going back to mining.”
So I started looking, what are those empanadas? I see now, this is what they call pirogi (I think this is Polish name) in America and we call it pirozhki in mother Russia. If Daniel Herrera gets out I am going to cook some mean empanadas. I might need some help with the dough. I think I would follow the recipe girl instructions. Will skip butter and cheese with the dough in honor of my didstant Jewish roots.
