Screw the balloons and the commercialization, what happened to the good old homegrown holidays? On the days like today, with no Indians around, getting homesick, big time. Speaking of the thank you-s, every so often I get some email from some shmo with no introduction who googled an obscure subject no one in the world-wide world ever talks about. There is a question like “my family name is this, where is that?”, etc. I then spend time trying to answer, email the references, the maps, the links and I am yet to get a thank you in return.
