Fortunate people tend to explain their success by their innate smarts, ingenuity, character. The unfortunate explain their lot by the unforeseen storms, they say they were swept but the events or circumstances beyond their control. Yet the fortunate are always a very small minority while the misfortune is statistically a permanent condition. The fortunate are the true hosts of randomness.
