Dr. Weil Flip Flops the Fat

Dr. Weil has the fat guts to admit that the nutritional “science” was wrong for 40 years – Rethinking Saturated Fat:

“Looking back at the dietary information collected from these thousands of participants, the investigators found no difference in the risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, or coronary vascular disease between those individuals with the lowest and highest intakes of saturated fat. This goes completely against the conventional medical wisdom of the past 40 years. It now appears that many studies used to support the low-fat recommendation had serious flaws.”

Guess what, fat or even saturated fat is not the problem, sugars, sweeteners and grain (including whole wheat) based carbs are. Dr. Weil and many others built careers on these fatal errors and to put it mildly didn’t really help people, fill in the blanks. I mean even today Lady Obama is yapping something about fat. The problem in a school cafeteria is not fat meat, perhaps not even fries but the buns, the sugar in the processed foods and the sweetened sodas. So what Dr. Weil will do with the knowledge? There is no mea culpa, there is no I (and most “licensed” nutritionists) built my career on builshit and we are killing people every single day with our errors. No, instead Dr. Weil finishes the article with more garbage advise and garbage is by definition a mixture of the healthy fat and the toxic bile. Specifically Dr. Weil shifts into dairy and he is deliberately ambivalent there. He wouldn’t come out and say that the “unfit for human consumption” raw milk is the only milk that humans should consume, or even better, they should stay the heck away from dairy, instead the shifty Dr. Weil writes: “My personal choice would be high-quality, natural cheese a few times a week.” For real! At least there is a nod to the grass-fed cows in the article.
