Nearsightedness is Meta

Yet another illustration of the evolutionary pattern and yet another confirmation of the unabashed benefits from the sun exposure. NYT is reporting that the increase in the nearsightedness is not the result of reading books or screens but rather the result of being indoors, i.e not playing in the sun: The Sun Is the Best Optometrist.

Being indoors is being confined to a man-made enclosure. Similarly the emotional nearsightedness is the result of being confined to the envelope of the man-made ideas. Regularly I run into people who never pass an opportunity to miss the forest from the trees. In fact often the glasses and the tight shadow of an ideology seem to from a predictable pattern.
