My iPhone cables, patched on both ends with duct tape
I was wondering why do my iPhone cables, on the left, break. Someone who worked in Apple actually explains that it is all “by design” (via reddit). There is a flip side of course, with the designers having all the power it’s the game changing advantage for the Apple products. Alas if they also understood the macro scale of architecture. I.e. a building for the twelve thousands people is a different animal from the circular disk dial on the iPad, unless your vantage point is to consider the humans microbial.
