
In the director’s narrative of the Aguirre, the Wrath of God DVD, Werner Herzog describes Klaus Kinski’s movement and costume for the role of Lope de Aguirre. Werner Herzog said that Kalus moved like a crab, seemingly injured. His costume, that they both designed in Munich, had multiplies straps, seemingly holding Aguirre together.
Even in a crowd we can still talk only to one person at a time. Manhattan reminds me of Twitter, all the celebrity sightings, the excitement of new faces but when the sun sets on the island, it’s still all about meaningful connections, one person at a time. Ask not what you can do for Twitter but what Twitter can do for you. As you lose yourself in the music, you must find yourself on the other end of the grand mixer dance of humanity. It’s all about the natural limit of your friendship circle, your livelihood and your human needs. All the rest is a diversion and like all diversions it’s a spice to a meal.
